 PURPOSE:
  • Class participants will:
    • be able to recognize symptoms of infant distress
    • demonstrate the appropriate maneuvers to help an infant with a foreign body airway obstruction
    • explain how to treat an infant who is not breathing and/or is without a heartbeat by performing CPR
    • discuss ways to prevent injuries and how to use the Emergency Medical Services System (EMS)
    • Learn how to child proof their home
